Toronto, ON (July 13, 2020) – York9 FC has made an addition to their Technical Staff with the hiring of Sam Gregory as Director of On-Field Analytics. Most recently leading the Soccer Intelligence team at Sport Logiq in Montreal, Gregory will report directly to Managing Consultant Angus McNab.

Managing consultant Angus McNab said: “Sam is a great addition to the team.  This will be the third time I’ve worked with him, having worked with him very briefly at Opta and much more extensively during my time at Sport Logiq.  His primary remit will be to support me and supply opposition analysis and then turn his attention to recruitment later in the year.”

Gregory added: “As a soccer data scientist and a long-time supporter and follower of the sport in Canada I’m excited to contribute to the development of analytics in the league with York9 FC. I’m looking forward to the chance to work with Angus McNab again as well as one of the best coaching and technical staffs in Canada.”
